I actually had a really hectic day.
Had to go in to the restaurant this morning to do some training with one of the girls, so I was there from 8am until 1pm, and of course just as was leaving it became crazily busy. Of course. I had to leave though, because I had an audition to run to, so I dashed upstairs to my apartment, quickly changed, did my makeup and hair and raced out the door. When I got to the Prince George hotel, where the auditions were being held, they were actually running early, so I barely had time to sign in before I was called into the room. I did my thing, it was fine, and then I left. Had a coffee, came back home and sat down for a second. When I did I noticed that I'd received a private message on my travelogue, from Damian, who was our driver in Europe. Awesome, and so sweet to hear from him. I was actually surprised he even remembered me. I guess I make an impression on some people. :)
Didn't have much time to devote to writing him back at that point though. I sat myself at the computer and continued writing my novel. That's right. I started my NaNoWriMo novel at the stroke of midnight, Nov 1st. I just wanted to get a few hundred words on the page. More of a celebratory thing than anything else. So I quickly scanned what I'd written and continued. I had to tell my inner editor to just shut up - NaNo is about quantity, not quality. December is editing time. I wrote for a short while and then had to get ready to go back to work to supervise for the evening, which meant I was the last one out the door. When I got home again I finished my writing for the day and my word count for day one was 1726 words. Not great, but decent, and above the daily quota, which is 1666.666 words/day. With a day off from work tomorrow I should be able to actually get ahead.
Wow, I haven't written whole paragraphs in this blog in a while. I'm on a writing roll, I do believe.
