everybody's talking about sex in the white house.

It has come to my attention that I haven't updated in two weeks!

Therefore:

I had exams on June 3 and 5; English (A+) and Lit (B), and then Psych (B) and Legal (C+). I met up with Tim in the city after the Psych exam, which was lovely, just sitting on the steps behind Fed Square, kissing and talking, then wandering around ACMI and going up flight after flight of stairs and through random doors until we had no idea where we were, and Tim was wearing his top hat, so we probably looked like crazy people, but it was awesome.

Following that, I had a rather brilliant five-day weekend which I spent sleeping, shopping and working, which basically means that my bank account is rather distressingly depleted. Then was the GAT - hmm. Definitely had better times. The day after that, Friday, Mum and I went to Canberra for the weekend. Yes, I know. I've heard "CANBERRA? You abandoned us for CANBERRA?" quite a lot since I got back. It was fun, though; we stayed at the Hyatt, which was all Art Deco and awesome, and had amazing buffet breakfasts and raspberry mousse cake and hot chocolate with whipped cream in the beautiful, elegant lounge, and my God, I think I'm obsessed with food. It was so incredibly good, though!

We went shopping, and to a couple of art galleries and museums, and to an Italian restaurant where I (oh joy of joys!) had tiramisu so good I can't even express it adequately...and there I go with the food obsession again. Must stop that. Anyway. Came back from Canberra on Sunday night, somehow got through Monday whilst running on very little sleep, had my speed test at work (125 books shelved in an hour; I need to get up to 150/hour, but I got 5/5 for accuracy, so I'm happy), and finally got to talk to Tim.

Tuesday...had the afternoon off, so went to a cafe to do homework, which actually worked out really well. Apparently, chocolate milkshakes and Lit work are a productive combination! Watched The Hand of Fear, Sarah Jane's last classic Doctor Who episode, which I bought on sale in Canberra (down from $30 to $20!) when I got home. I really liked it; nothing like a megalomanical purple alien double-crossing the Doctor to finish off a great day. Wednesday was average. It was one of those days where nothing goes really wrong, and you have nothing real to pin it on, but you just feel snappy and pissed off all day. I borrowed Henry Miller's Tropic of Cancer from the library after work, though, and that made me happy because I really like how I've gone from Lawrence to Anais Nin, and through her to Miller.

Today was good. Had the morning off, so slept in, and then had Legal first off, which meant finishing Erin Brockovich (:D) and Amy being all smiley and "Look, look, caramel latte!" which made me happy. Then I had Lit, which was good because Annika's in it, and also because the PE class kept running in and we were messing with them. Period 4 was Psych; so much fun! We started studying the nervous system, and we had a worktask where we had to draw an outline of a person on butcher's paper and then draw in the CNS and PNS and their spinal cord, and label parts of the brain, and stuff like that. Basically ended with me leaning over Ollie on the paper, trying to draw him whilst ignoring Jack and Philippa's extremely sexual comments. So very many gay jokes made at Jack's expense. Brilliant class. It's amazing how grubbing around on the floor with paper and textas can make you feel so happy and relaxed.

Mum was out tonight, so I spent about two and a half hours on the phone to Tim, just talking about everything we could think of, and he was so sweet and lovely about some stuff that was bothering me, and I feel really close to him. I can't wait for Saturday; I'm going to his place, and it's also our two month anniversary. And honestly, you know you love someone when you're meeting at nine in the morning on a Saturday, just because you want to spend as much time together as possible.

Saturday night, I'm out for dinner with friends, which will be fun, and then it's only a week until holidays, thank God.

And I must be off now...Mum's birthday tomorrow, and I have to be up early. I have surprises planned.

my love life, travel, school, tim, exams, my social life, work, vce
