Welcome to the Army...Matthew is gone again this week. He left the 1st for gunnery. The roommate didn't have to leave till the 5th. So here I am, going on the...third night alone. Its not too bad tonight. The weather was great today, warm and sunny. No clouds. Tonight is really nice too, I can smell what I hope is a bonfire. You never know with Texas, last time it smelled like this it was because the city was on fire. That would make for an interesting week. Last night hail and rain, next night city's ablaze! Not to mention Wednesday. We had to get our tub fixed and I had to be out of the apartment for the day because of the fumes. They said I should be able to sleep here, but when I asked the guy that came to fix it he informed me that with my situation I should find other arrangements. Great! Here I am...alone. Both Matthew and Drew are in the field and I'm left with no where to go. There our people I could have called....if I had their number. But who really wants to call someone up you've met once, or not at all and ask if you can have a sleepover?! Not me. The apartment complex wouldn't even help. You'd think they'd have a slight obligation to, I thought wrong. I ended up calling my mom to help. I tried four of the hotels and all were booked up...on a wednesday night! My mom was able to look online and find one, and with the military discount, I was able to get it down to $91. Still expensive. Anyhoo...after looking over that...

I'd like the rest of the time to be uneventful. That would make me happy. :) I just want Matthew to come home in one piece and to have a good week with him till I have to go home. (I'm going home because he has back to back training maneuvers for three months and I'm not about to stay here alone. After the first half of this week...there's no way I'd survive.)

Anyhoo...I can't wait till the 10th...that'll be a happy day!!
