Wanted: Beta(s) **updated 06/23/08**
I want a beta. I've got great friends I can ask every once in a while to look over a fic for me, but I always feel like I'm inconveniencing them by asking, and it makes me feel bad. :) So, I'd like a semi-full time beta. No, I'm not asking for a 40 hour work week :p, but I'd like to have a go-to for when I am able to find my muse. This person (or persons) will also be there to let me bounce ideas off of them, via IM, e-mail, lj, or even via text message.

A little about me & what I expect:
- My current 'safe place' is Bones, but I've also written for Harry Potter, & would LOVE to get up the nerve to write Emily/David. I've recently become a big fan of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, & will probably write something in that fandom eventually, as well as Chris/Mariska.
- My current ship is Booth/Brennan & Eliott/Olivia (and RPF is David/Emily & Chris/Mariska)
- Most of my stuff has been light & fluffy, but I am venturing into the darker side
- While I don't require instant gratification, I do like to have a reply within 2-3 days (excluding holidays of course!)
- I love constructive criticism! Don't be afraid you'll hurt my feelings, please!
- I want to be able to bounce ideas back & forth, & hopefully get some additional inspiration.

- Have you ever beta'd before? (don't worry, I'm not going to ask for references)
- If you have, what fandoms have you worked with?
- Do you write yourself? If so, would you be willing to provide a link?
- Are you currently, or are you willing to use Microsoft Word to read/beta my fic? (I like to use 'Track Changes' in Word because it allows for your input, as well as the option to accept/decline suggested changes)
- Will it annoy you if I IM you with lots of questions (no, not 21 questions style, but general friendly conversation, as well as writing related questions/comments)
- Are you available at odd times of the day (I currently work Mon-Fri 11:30a-8:00p)
- I have an issue with tenses (ie: I'll be writing past tense, then suddenly swing to present), will this bother you, & will you be able to fix it?
- Does RPF (real person fic) make you squeamish?
- Would it bother you if you were not my only beta?
