Friday night, Marge, Fran and I got Wok to Walk for dinner.
Then we went back to Fran's for dinner a la Cohen.
And so began the consumption of the large bottle of Smirnoff Ice.
We're kinda awesome.
Sometimes, Margaret kisses the bottle.
Then we went to Hartje and Fran and I got suckered into trying Purple Rain.
Eline is silly.
So then we left the bar and went to the Big Banana Night Shop for some more Smirnoff.
But then Fran had to find a bottle opener.
She was successful soon enough.
Then we started getting a little silly.
And we realized that the Purple Rain had made our tounges slightly blue.
And then we watched a movie and went to beddd.
We did a little computering in the AM.
Fran tried to make scrambled eggs, but it didn't work out so well.
Every time I tried to take this picture, people would walk by and stare at me.
Much like they would when tour boats would go by when I was at the window in my PJs upstairs.
Eww.
Then we worked for a little while.
After the first hajj down to the Melkweg, Fran decided she was going to learn the FOB band members' names.
Then we put her away message up and made our second emo hajj.
This is a screencap of the video Fran took of the first 21 seconds of FOB's set.
After the concert, I used my awesome afterparty wristband.
The afterparty was in the "tea room" of the Melkweg.
I love these boys.
I wish every weekend was an epic weekend. Because really, this weekend was incredible. The Fall Out Boy concert was amazing.
My Sister Harold opened and despite being female-fronted (I'm usually not a big fan of that) they were pretty good. I was second from the stage for most of the show, on the edge of some sort of riser so that I could see over everyone else. It was perfect. Fall Out Boy's set was amazing, and all but Pete seemed to really enjoy themselves. After their set ended, we met these two Dutch guys while waiting to get our coats. I was so amped on the show that I was quite the conversationalist. They called me a groupie and I laughed. The afterparty was a good time, but I didn't hang out there too long. As amazing as it was, it would've been better if I had had someone there to enjoy it with me. The guys all signed my ticket and we took a picture. Two firsts for me, as I tend not to take part in that type of thing. I got a chance to talk to Patrick and Joe for a bit. They were super nice. It was the last night on their European tour, so I asked them if they were excited to go back. When they said yes, I told them I was jealous because I'm from Boston. Patrick was like oh, we love Boston. And Joe went on about how he missed Taco Bell. Haha, it was great.
Hope everyone else had an excellent weekend.
Rock,
Missy*
