Well, I'm off to resume tracking down those medicines for Klavier. My search has taken me to the far reaches of this city. I imagine it was quite a place, in its time. Do think a little about what I've said, Purgatorium. I believe this world may be more ours than we'd think.

You are a pharmacologist, after all.

Your work is potentially quite important to this world. I'm only doing what I feel is my duty--to make your job a little easier, in what ways I can.

Indeed I am.

Forgive me if I seem a bit suspicious-- such is the way of man, though. So, is there any specific reason you're interested in my field of work? Some importance I can apply to you?

Let us clear the air between us, shall we. I would much rather you hear it from me than from anyone else.

The fact of the matter is that for all intents and purposes, Dr. Crane, I should be dead right now. I was executed. For murder. But I've served my time, and received my punishment in full. I assure you that I'm quite rehabilitated--from what I've gathered... much like you.

Although I'm very much an attorney to the pith and marrow, let us say that I know a thing or two about chemistry as well. Perhaps I can be of some assistance.

And of course, there is the matter of my brother's well being, which cannot be overstated.

How foward of you.

For all you know I'm a man fastidiously trying to walk the straight and narrow these days-- your little admission to me could be something dangerous.

Was it? Many pardons.

Dangerous to whom, Dr. Crane? I'm a dead man. I've nothing left to lose but my dignity, and admission of the crimes I've atoned for has no bearing whatsoever on that. As a psychiatrist, you must be well aware that all people have... lapses from time to time.

Ah, but you're dead. What do you have to apologize for?

You live now, don't you? So technically something should matter, shouldn't it?

People lapse quite frequently. There's very little true rehabilitation.

Ah. Pardon me yet again for pointing it out, Dr. Crane, but I spy a lapse in reasoning as we speak. Your observations contradict one another.

Very little true rehabilitation. What does that mean for you and I, then, I wonder? Do... you... lapse often as well, Doctor?

I'm following your argument line by line, Mr. Gavin; apologies from me are in order this time.

Are you implying I was ever cured, Mr. Gavin?

Then it's my turn to declare no apologies necessary.

I would expect that it should depend on the situation and the company, Dr. Crane.
