I am tempted to keep the car in drive
So...I had a really amazing NACURH and a really upsetting one all at the same time...
On the good side:
-I had an awesome time getting to know everyone on the delegation
-I was elected and sworn in as the new Associate Director for NRHH (AD-NRHH) which pretty much makes me the key contact person for all NRHHes in the IACURH region, plus the overseer of Regional OTM and bid submissions. YAY!!!!! :o)
-UofA won SCHOOL OF THE YEAR which is only the most prestigous of all the national awards!
-I met a lot of great people from all over the country!
On the not-so-good side:
At the end of the closing banquet where we won school of the year, I listened to a message from Doug that said he was leaving and goodbye. He had previously told me he was leaving on the 31st, so I was extremely upset to listen to that message on the 28th. Im sure thats not how he wanted to do it, but I basically broke down in tears right there when everyone was taking pictures! :o(
I leave for Alabama on Saturday morning. I ordered an iBook the day after I got back and Im hoping it gets here tomorrow so John can teach me to use it before I leave.
I got a really cute new pair of Coach sandals and I cant wait to wear them in Alabama! :o)
