I've had various livejournals over the years but I've never really felt that I had anything to blog about, anything that was "livejournal-worthy." So I mostly used them to lurk in awesome communities and be jealous of the amazing writers and artists here. While this is mostly still true, my life has changed in one big way so I'm following in its wake and making more. I moved to New York two weeks ago and seems like, since then, things are happening. They aren't always good but they're happening which is more than I could ever say for my life Before. And, more than anything, I want to remember them.

I guess that's the power of New York City.

So this is my contribution to the record. A small town girl trying to make it in the big city. It's the biggest cliché around but I guess that's always been my life.
