Is fashion a lifestyle?

I am looking towards a fashion trend to follow. Don't tell me to be original because I don't know how to be. Most of the time I am a boring looking oeru who wears black suits & white blouses everyday, so of course I don't know what originality is... The only fashion I am remotely interested in is of course some of the sub cultures in Japan. Not all of it but you gotta admit, they have some wildly eccentric and unheard of styles that is kind of attractive. So I explore the different groups that I like that are prominent in Japan.

Ageha girls? GAL, himegyaru, they are the best! Love their look and hair and eyes and nails and accessories and clothes and..everything. And their not as wild as ganguro or the mamba girls lol. But it doesn't fit me, they are so skinny like sticks and have to have brown hair. Ah I cannot do it.

They look like Ayumi Hamasaki's. Omg is Ayu a GAL?!

Harajuku girls? It's very colorful and at times looks like fashion that came out of the 80's. It's ok. But I grew a distaste towards it because of Gwen Stefani.

Lolita? Recently I've gotten into the fashion. It's probably the only one that suits me. Lots of puffy dresses, ruffles, laces, coats, accessories. Ah it's really adorable. Thanks to somniumobscurum! She showed me lots of places to go in Harajuku, I will definitely visit. I've always loved the classy Victorian look and to get away with dressing like that through lolita clothing seems to fit this era just right.

Too bad a lot of the outfits look like cosplay and when worn by Asian girls, it really looks cosplay, like rl anime characters. Some people could get away with that look and some can't.  I like the coats the best<3
