SHOCK 2010 - First Day Report Part ①
Endless SHOCK medley
Orchestra's tuning is the same as last year. When Overture starts the previous SHOCK's images appear on the screen.
Tsubasa also appears in that 'previous Shock' scenes.
"I'm not the child of the devil" Ryo-chan, Yabu who sings N.Y.N.Y, Toma and Kazama?.. too.
I think Ohkura might have also appeared. But not sure.
The letters "Endless SHOCK" appeared and Koichi and the Company made an appearance on the stage.
CONTINUE (Opening Version)
Probably Unchanged.
It's probably the same thing he said last year but this time there was an addition of
"...With this year it's the 10th anniversary."
Introduction to the theater
Owner's greeting is unchanged as well. Only at the screen there were images of New York Streets (like illustrations).
"Do you know the phrase ' Show must go on' ?"
When this was said on the screen it wrote 'Show must go on'
So Feel It Coming
Neither the choreography nor the flying changed.
Only Entrance while being hanged up, "Be careful!" and landing on stage, "Let's continue the show" and right to the song.
Until last year there was music before the song started.
Panel Magic
Unchanged.
New Horizon ~Car Magic~ New Horizon
The Stick choreography has been cut. When Rika came up she went to Koichi right away and Koichi threw the mantle to Yara. It's shorter now without the stick-choreography but the rest of it was without a change.
This year's car is red.
Last year and the year before that was white.
After the car magic ended from both sides came up Trumpet and Trombone.
Performance of New Horizon.
Yes, My Dream ( Last years 'Yes, We Can, song lyrics changed in one part.-version)
The guys who are holding the instruments stay there even after New Horizon ends. Koichi says "Good work everyone~!" and they participate in the performance. This song too is a musical performance.
The scene after Koichi goes to the rooftop did not change.
Yara's words to Rika have become more grown-up since last year, putting arm over the shoulders and showing the box he's holding---It can't be explained well!
With that, Yara discovering owner who teases with Yone-
The words "Let's go, Machida!" was the same as last year.
When Owner was called by the productor
Owner: "Ah..'THIS IS IT' ?
Productor:" May be"
N.Y. NIGHT
Although at this part everyone appeared on the upper part of stage, Machida and Yone appeared at below this time.
Like that, they were at the left side of Koichi (from the guest seating side).
"Why were you dancing in such place" scene was cut.
Koichi: "Since tomorrow is a holiday, let's go see something."
Machida: "Like West Side? Like West Side?"
Yone: "Why are you saying that twice?"
"Then lets meet at the park at 3 o clock."
- Drunk Owner Appearance.
He hurriedly called Koichi's name after all members sudden disappearance.
"Why are you drinking so much?"
"But I can't shine if I don't drink!"
While he held on to the roundthing (they mean the ...round thing to keep people from falling?) it came off as he said that.
Since that part was where Koichi always caressed while he said "There are leading actors like cats and lions and such..." After Owner accidentally breaks it;
He said something like "But I liked that~~~"
The reporter forgot when it was but the speech regarding the expenses:
"This time the expenses aren't much but since there's the waterspout from the last time..." (isn't that Takki's? ahah)
"If last time was the waterspout, this time should be pillar of fire! that's what I said but if that happens, sprinkler would go bishaa (t/n: water gushing out) from up and down and ...afterall it couldn't happen."
Koichi: "I told you even if we seriously did that, we'd get stopped."
It's A Wonderful Day
When Koichi tells them "You're late" when they're late for the meeting Yone says:
"Rika's make-up time was long so..."
Koichi: "I wonder why women are late...Look, like the lines infront of the toilet and such..."
When the time for Shall we dance - Forty Second - West side came, Machida raises his leg while saying " if it's West Side (Musical?) " and making a mini-boke ("guki~" sound effect) . (t/n : didn't get it much either sorry.)
This time there seems to be a lot of Machida-san! ^o^
During Naoki's performance Koichi hums the Oozora melody and Rika says "This melody is beautiful!". Koichi replies "Yeah." letting out a small manly laugh- there seems to be many of those laughters this time as well.
Owner who comes in late.
"For some reason Akanishi-kun was there. I asked him 'Are you going to do anything? Is there anything you'll do?' but since i said theres not ●※△■＊ "
Since he said in one short breath the reporter doesn't really remember what he said.
When they found out about the big productor, Matsuzaki said "Let's go~ Let's go~ Let's go to On(Broadway)" and kneeled next to Koichi. (It appearantly was funny XD;;)
Don't Look Back (Piano)
No change.
America Introduction
Probably unchanged but there were places that the reporter thought "oh."It was more like there weren't any changes.
Irish, Samba and Temple scenes are cut.
America
No change.
Jungle
There are no change to the composition but the choreoghrapy changed 100%.
It felt like it was Yaracchi's choreography (assuming.)
But if checked the pamphlet it doesn't write his name, so it might be wrong.
Rock~Tap
Probably unchanged.
After Rock ends in pink lame-suits and hat, appearance of Rika and female dancers.
This time Rika does tapdance. ...it starts that way but owner skillfully pulls from Rikas sleeve and starts tapdancing.
Tap dance choreography is the same as last year.
But the female dancers simultanously point at Rika so she reappears on stage.
Pulling owner to the front of the stage and faced him while doing a tap dance of anger.
(t/n: There is a really funny happening but even in Japanese it really confuses me without being able to see so I will skip it. I apologize.)
SOLITARY (new song)
Appearance isn't much diffferent than until now.
But probably more glittery than since now.
Lining is red and there's also embroidery. The jacket also has red at the inner sides (t/n: isn't it the same as 2008 too?)
Rika's costume is blackxred base like until last year, but has a feeling of Pink Lady-ish.
The song...is hard to explain.
If you ask which, closer to Diana(t/n: idk) than Love and Loneliness.
It was the best part when they formed an X with Koichi in the center, and danced using the stage to it's limit.
Since the number of people were a lot, it was amazing.
At the second chorus part Yara came from the upper part holding his jacket. Staff stopped him.
Company members all noticed it and glanced but ofcourse the show continued.
This time it was easier to understand that in reality it was Yara's part to sing but Koichi did a follow-up.

Since after there are words of Yara: "That part was our highlight scene!"
At the end Koichi put the pistol Rika brought him to his head and then it was black-out.
In the darkness there was a spark (firing=suicide) and like that it ends.
BACKSTAGE
Started with them rushing backstage after Solitary's ending.
However Koichi is stretching out. And to the woman who's cleaning said "You're in the way." and nudged him with the mop so Koichi got up to change his clothes.
Yonehana came in..
Yonehana: "Isn't the last (part) too depressing?"
Koichi: "Since Japanesque has a happy-ending, it's fine. "
Koichi: "By the way, what happened with Yara just now?"
Yonehana: "Ah... It seems he couldn't come up because the set was blocking him."
Koichi: "I see..."
After that there is no change including Yara scolding the staff.
But the announcement 'It's second part soon' changed into '5 minutes' or something.
Japanesque Show
Probably unchanged. The words YoneMachi say before Koichi said "Let's go!" in the battle scene changed.
I forgot but they said something like "The enemy is hiding somewhere, go search!"
Also, when the stairs came out and Koichi, Yonehana and Machida are beaten and fell down- Yara before going to kick Koichi's shoulder he snatches away Yonehana's katana after trampling down his wrist. That too is probably something since this year....I think.
With this the ACT 1 of 2010.02.14 has ended. I think I really like the new one so far, ♥ Yone actually gets to say more and Machida is funny. ♥
But it actually seems to be explaining the plot even better this time. I think I need to find an 2009 report to see the changes from 2008 , but I think this was explaining enough? I hope you enjoyed it too!
