All I want for Christmas is....
My mom to...
~open her eyes (She's been in a deep slumber for over a month)
~smile when she looks up from her bed. (she has a beautiful dimpled smile)
~have the strength to fight ailment afer ailment. (she has been suffering so much physical pain)
~speak to us like no other loving mother could do
The sad part is she can not speak of her pain because of the tubes galore/trachea equipment and the heavy doses of sedatives and other treatments being done to her.(To hear her not speak breaks our hearts.)
~get out from that hospital bed and get "family hugs" (her hugs are the sweetest!)
She is a slow healer but we all know she has a strong heart.
A few days before Thanksgiving, my mom was diagnosed with a
rare condition. All in all, she's been ill for more than a couple of months, she's been in and out of hospitals, been through dialysis (her kidneys can no longer function) A few weeks ago, she had over 20 something bags of donated blood for her transfusions, she needed and still needs platelets to help fight her infections. Her immunity is very low. There is so much at stake. There's so much she's battling everyday of her life..all we can do is pray and have faith in her recovery. When she does wake up, she still has to go through a whole lot of treatments and to learn about her new condition.
Ironically, my mother is an Operating Room Nurse. She has been saving lives, "fixing & kissing boo boos" in the medical field for more than 30 years..now look at her..she's a patient fighting for her life at the ICU. God Bless her.

Thank you all (family and friends) for praying and having my mom in your thoughts. She had over 200+ people praying and visiting her in her time of need. She may not physically see her family and friends but I know for sure she spiritually feels our love for her.
Have a blessed Holiday season everyone.
