Snow and other things ...

Since everyone else is showing their snow photos,I thought I'd add my tuppence-worth.
Where we live is very sheltered by the Isle of Wight and we hardly ever get snow, much less have it down for more than an afternoon.obviously it's nothing compared to what people in Devon,Wales and Scotland got-just enough to be pretty, rather than life threatening.
Although we have had our 15 minutes of fame because of it! When it came down for the second time we had gone out shopping, leaving Whitely village at 5:15 just as it started snowing. What we didn't know was that a lorry had jack-knifed at the top roundabout, blocking access to the motorway. Of course all the people working in the local Business park started to come out as well so we were gridlocked pretty swiftly. It took till 9:30 to make a quarter of a mile, passing already abandoned cars as we went. As we approached the roundabout a snowplough turned up and started to do it's thing.A Meridian TV crew were interviewing folks and came along and talked to Colonel K , myself and Mitchlux. We thought no more of it till the next day when K went into the local garage and the lady behind the counter jokingly asked for his autograph as she'd seen us on TV.They broadcast it on the late news but we were still travelling, getting home at 11:30!!So we didn't see it.
Any way, here are some pretties and a piece of artwork.

And the pretty!

Also to fan related stuff; I booked for Wolf Stargate Worlds at the Thistle last year, so I'm going as a birthday present to myself. Anyone else going? The delicious Paul McG will be there as will Jay Acovone and Dan Payne. Is anyone else going? I've searched in vain for a "PegCon 5" or similar community but can't find it.
Happy Birthday hugs to jeannelui and garneteve and many apologies to those whose biffdays I have missed whilst having my "time-out".
