First LJ entry in, what, two years? It's also now the first ever, I guess, because I just made all my entries private. Sometimes I think about going back and reading these old entries, but that would probably be very unpleasant. They're still there for me if I want to come back to them (and if LiveJournal continues to exist) but I don't like the idea of other people coming across things I've said that may be bad: for example, when I said some unpleasant things about my friend who died and then his family came across it. How many other entries have people come across in search results?
I've wanted to do this for a while but didn't get around to it, but then Edward Snowden retweeted someone's picture of his book:

December 22, 2019 I guess I'm not as brave as him (but hardly anyone is) because that just makes me want to get rid of all of my old stuff.
Of course, you can't really remove anything from the Internet, but this is close.
