They can give you a script for 600mgs of Ibuprofen. That's what my mom used to replace the Naproxen. There is a woman I work with who ended up in the hospital having multiple corrective surgeries because the Naproxen tore holes in her stomach. And she only took THREE pills. Three. It's not even like she was on it for months and months... THREE PILLS. Now, that's rare and there was probably some other circumstance involved, but still. Even Ibuprofen can cause stomach ulcers, but at least it's not as bad/fast as the Naproxen.

I always thought that spinal taps were reserved for things like Meningitis or serious illness without a known cause. I don't know enough about Lyme's to know why they would need a spinal tap. And you're right, knowing that you're going to get a baby out of the whole ordeal definitely makes it easier. Because you HAVE to do it. It's either get the needle or feel ten times as much pain. So you just suck it up. And the adrenalin! SO much adrenalin. I got the epidural in the operating room about two minutes after they told me I needed an emergency c-section. I'm pretty sure they could have cut me open with NO drugs at that point and I wouldn't have cared. I just wanted Brandon.

The insurance thing is ridiculous though. I can't stand it. I had to call my insurance to get a preapproval, then the doctor's needed one in writing, then I went for my procedure, then the insurance sent me a letter that they decided not to cover it. What the fuck? Seriously? So after two preapprovals and my undergoing a $1200 procedure, NOW you don't want to cover it? I had to call and yell before they finally agreed to cover the procedure they'd already told me they would cover. Stupid, stupid system. Yet my grandmother, who is on Medicare, can see nine thousand specialists every week and have whatever she wants/needs done and nobody says anything about it. And TJ's babymomma, who is on Medicaid, got more prenatal visits than I did and I PAID for mine. It's really ridiculous. I mean, you take someone like Katie (the babymomma) and she has already abused public assistance, yet there's no question when she needs something done. Me, I pay a zillion dollars for insurance and I have to jump through hoops to get birth control. Which is cheaper than having a baby. Not to mention, I picked the LEAST expensive and MOST effective method available.

You're a gimp. Angela's a gimp. Lauren's a gimp. I've got about five other twenty-somethings on Facebook constantly complaining about fibromyalgia and arthritis. It's insane. I didn't think this shit was supposed to happen until we hit 50.

Really? I didn't know that. My neurologist was just like, "Hands shaking!? Just take ibuprofrin then."
That's insane about the Naproxen though! I just took one of those bastard pills.
Ha, lyme can cause meningitis too. Lyme seemingly causes every weirdass awful illness in the world. I asked Lauren and she said she hadda get one too to find out if the lymes definitely still there. I'm still so goddamn scared though.

How'd TJ's maybebabymomma abuse public assistance?!

I know, I feel so old! When I told the dr. all the shit that was going on, she was like, "You're 24! These symptoms aren't supposed to be happening in someone your age!"

Crazy. It's just crazy. And, really, how did both of you end up with such serious Lyme's? It's bizarre.

And no one knows exactly what babymomma did because she's a sneaky little liar. But she won't apply for anything because she'll get denied for something she did when she had her daughter. She did something BAD. Something really bad. She doesn't have her daughter anymore and there has to be a reason. And it's a SERIOUS reason because she won't even TRY to get visitation with her.

Everyone got old. Really old.
