I guess start small and even if it isn't a chapter you can right down your feelings (or your characters) and/or make crap up. Mind you I tend to make things up for my characters or not do this at all. If you have any irl (in real life) friends who write/draw/artist in one way or another whatever they can understand your problem since it comes to everyone at least once.

Sometimes lack of inspiration is a factor in this. Take a sentence or word that strikes you as uber-cool (XD) and find out the meaning. If you like it try to add it into a beginning sentence or what not.

Another is if you have a favorite image or aspect of something or emotion (like kindness or anger)and once again try to add it in.

Regarding my first advice I had the words "From the Tattered Threads of Dreams I Woke" from the beginning of Blood Omen 2 in my mind as my own character awoke from her own slumber.

"Something tore me away from my slumber which was a blessing especially due to how dark that dream turned.."
That's the first line from my story.

You can find inspiration everywhere and even if you do it word by word, sentence by sentence, it will come back to you. Hope this helps you a little.

It does a bit, though inspiration is indeed what I'm lacking. I try to sit down and write everyday, but motivation escapes me as well lol. I think I just need to force myself out of whatever hole I've fallen into XD Thanks for the advice :]

No problem anytime. Hmm... How about I pick some words at random and in a few days time you can write something that either includes them or is a theme that could be about it.

This weeks words :P

Toxin, T-shirt, burn, purple, Feral, harpoon, garrison, disarm, botulism (which is acute food poisoning), pizza.

Pick one or two of them (or more if you want) and when the project is completed (it can even be a story essay or drabbles) post it next friday. I'll try to do the same. Just list the words used and how long the story is (word count wise).

We will post our 'stories' on either Friday or Saturday.

This is just an idea mind you to get the creative juices moving again.

That's an awesome idea :] I think I'll do my posts from my characters point of views... get in their heads a bit. It's sure to help me write more ^.^

That's a good idea. Just list what character you are doing so people will know about them. So what do you write mostly?

I mostly write fantasy/action/romance. Sometimes I'll write horror or scifi, and occasionally I'll write slice of life/romance. But usually it's fantasy ^.^'' you?

Same thing pretty much but add attempt at scifi (girl gets sucked into a computer game whose land expands) and that's not really scifi, urban fantasy, and supernatural stuff. I tried to do a poem type thingy but ended up with thoughts or inner monologue or something XD

Haha, I write poetry sometimes, but usually it ends up really depressing. I made one girl cry when she read it o.e I prefer stories though, because I like developing characters. That's the best part in my opinion =D

Oh yes the character. I always end up with a female lead who is sarcastic and occasionally cautious about people. I like to find unique names and their meanings in picking characters that are best suited for it. You don't name someone Misu (which is something about a river) and be a fire user. Well not usually. I like finding unique physical descriptions though lately my lead has whitish-gold hair and hetrochromia (eyes of two different colors) that's actually a medical term as well. I have no idea how to do romance or battle scenes.

Ooooh, I'm really good at romance AND battle scenes XD booyah lol.

I do know what hetrochromia is :3 one of my characters from a long time ago had it.

Aaaand I usually end up with a female lead who seems strong and courageous but is really kind of weak and cowardly on the inside but she refuses to show it. She's always intelligent, blunt, and bold but is never really happy lol.
