morning twilight is the time
when youth remains slumbered
and wisdom is rejuvenated
by chirps and gradients of daylight
as the darkness grows into the
miraculous everyday
the cleanliness of life seems tangible
peace seems almost possible
until it slowly fades
with the occasional crash of a car door
the growing sound of the commute
clunking over far-off potholes
it combats with the birds
as does the aroma of morning addictions
wafting away the innocent sweetness
of evaporating dew
