"The first time I saw..."

The first time I saw the Millennium Falcon, I knew that she was the ship for me.

God, she was beyond beautiful. Those sleek curves, that beautiful piloting system, that comfortable chair and that speed. The ship was fast and is fast, faster than anything I've ever flown. I just knew from the moment I first sat down in that chair that she and I were inseperable.

She had wormed her way into my heart and there was no way I was letting a measly thing like her being Lando's ship at the time get in my way. No, I knew that I had to have her one way or another. Not that it took much, a couple games of cards and upping the ante to a ridiculous height before Lando had no other choice but to offer her up as his next highest bid.

The first time I saw the Millennium Falcon, I knew I had to have her and I got her just like I knew I would.

Describe the place you grew up

I've never grown up in one set place, ever since I can remember I've been hopping from planet to planet and on and off ships. I guess if anything, I spent most of my time on Shrike's ship, the 'Trader's Luck'.

I mean sure we stopped off at planets and spent some time there as he worked out deals but I wouldn't say I grew up on any one planet. The ship was home, carbon scratching and all. It made quite the impression when I was younger. If you think about it, I was a small kid in comparison to this big ship which had all these nooks and crannies that things could be hidden in which when you were in our line of business was a very good thing.

Also I met a very wide and very varied group of people when living on that ship, most of them helped to shape my moral fabric as it is now; go figure. The stories I heard, the things I saw, were definitely not fit for a boy of my age but I like to think I handled myself pretty well and I grew up well in spite of everything. I mean sure I'm willing to bend the rules and cut corners but I'm not likely to slit your throat when you're sleeping.

The place I grew up was far from ordinary and I've gotta say, it was one of the most exciting places to be.
