So much to update!!! Oops....

On Monday, I did laundry most of the day and helped out around the house. other than that, I didn't do too much. Of course, I read my Bible (Rom. 5)and thought about that for a long time. In the evening, Leonel, Merlin, and I went to Pizza Hut for supper.

On Tuesday, I think I just hung out around the house most of the day (hard to remember). I hung out with Leonel and Merlin again this day, and we ate baleadas at the Shell gas station.

On Wednesday, Leonel and I went to the mall and hung out. Jorge met us there and we just looked at different shops. Then, we went to the Privada (Bessy's college) and they did some rehearsing for a model show. We quickly went home and I went to the Internet Cafe to talk to Nathan.

On Thursday, I hung out around the house in the morning. It was Mami's 48th Birthday, so we put on the Birthday music all morning. I swept, mopped, and swept the street in the morning. We had a big lunch, then went to Tia Liliana's apartment (located near La Salle, Nicole's high school) and ate another lunch and ate cake to celebrate Mami's birthday. We dropped Bessy off (she's in exams this week) and went to the store. I dropped off my film to be developed (hoping it would turn out, since I accidently had it x-rayed in the airport). In the evening, we had prayer group and then Merlin came over and we looked at some verses in the Bible for a while.

On Friday, I hung out around the house all morning. In the evening, Nicole and I went to the privada to supposedly see Leonel model, but there was nothing. Later on, I went with Merlin to get his hair cut at the barber's, and then we ate taquitos and went to the internet cafes to try to pay my visa bill.

On Saturday, I hung out at the house and started studying the Holy Spirit. In the afternoon, I went to the Megaplaza with Merlin and we watched War of the Worlds. It was kind of scary but overall not too bad. The first part reminded me of Noah and how people probably reacted when it started to rain for the first time, because they had never seen that before, and yet they were all doomed, except for Noah and his family. Also, I thought it was interesting how at the end, the narrator talked about humans as God's creation. I don't really want to see the movie ever again, but it made me think a bit about the end of the world, and how when it comes down to it, our relationships with others are what truly matter. We ate ice cream and walked around, then I went back home. The youth, mainly Bessy, Nicole, and I were in charge of the main portions of the mass, and I read a psalm (kind of scary, but God made my words flow, I had prayed about it, and didn't feel like it was me reading, it was very interesting.)

On Sunday (yesterday), I woke up late and walked to the Fair where Mami was selling the coffee and honey. I "helped out" for a while, then we came back home. I studied the Holy Spirit some more and talked with Bessy. Then, we drove to Tio Tono and Tia Ela's house and we had a party to celebrate Mami's birthday. Tia Aida, Don Virgilio, Hector (cousin), Rafa, Ale (cousins), Tia Liliana, Napo (her boyfriend), Josue, Abuelo, Abuela Gloria, and our family were all there. We had soup, tortillas, rice, beans, cheese, and shish-ka-bobs for lunch- they were so good! I met Nathan online from 2 to 3 and had a good talk. We left for home around 5, and I played some games on my computer. Then, we went to the healing service at church. When we came home, we ate, watched some of Lord of the Rings (15 minutes!), and then I listened to Paul Washer and went to bed.

Nathan said "persevere" and I hear it in moments when I make choices, and I do. I persevere through God's strength!
