Okay, so it's been a while... because I've been having a great time! I've been hanging out with my family most of the time, and spent some quality time with Sam. Two weekends ago, Amy had a garage sale and a lady from Colombia came and invited me to a hispanic service in the evening. There, I met a girl who had backpacked Europe (she's from Ecuador) and a new friend, Nathan, who plays guitar and is going to record songs with me for the Spanish service at the church (Central Christian). It was so neat to meet new people! Last week, I hung out at the house most of the time (and worked out every day!) On Thursday, Nathan came over and we practiced. I found out that he can play the fist-o-phone like Dad. He's a great guy, very nice, great guitar player, and he loves Jesus! I need more guy friends like that! Last weekend, Amy and I went to Central Christian on Friday in the middle of a storm and she met a French-speaking lady from Lebanon and a lady who was from Thailand. So she enjoyed talking to them. We heard about the Boys Brigade (like Boy Scouts, but first) from a brother that was there. I talked with Nathan afterwards about predestination and other things and heard some songs with him. Then, Amy and I went to WalMart to buy some more things for her trip and drove in the pouring (I mean POURING) rain to home. On Saturday, I bought songs and downloaded them most of the day. In the evening, we went to a mystery dinner theater (owned by Mike Wasson) at a winery (none for me, thanks!) and it was really cool because we had to solve a mystery while we were being served dinner. I made a Creative Memories order because I'm taking down albums to Honduras to do their photos and I'm gonna make an album for Dad to put some of his photos from when he was young in.
Yesterday, I went to church (God has a face), then Sam's club for film for Amy. Then I cut out verses for each day that Amy's in Thailand and Sarah and I made a package for her with stickers, gum, cards with verses, and coloring books to give to children in Thailand. They left late in the afternoon and SArah and I went to see Mr. and Mrs. Smith, found it to be sold out, and saved a turtle that was crawling along the side of the road. We ate and I practiced piano then we saw the movie (not very good, definitely not Biblically approved). We came home, played Rummy and I went to work out, played some more, then went to bed.
I praise God for:
-New and "Old" friends.
-Helping Amy raise all $4,000 for her trip to Thailand.
-Dad getting a new job with Onex.
-My work and my boys.
-Helping Mom be able to pay the bills even though she was "late".
-That I will be getting a car soon!
-That I will be getting a transmission for my other car soon!
-All that he's done for me, especially for Jesus and for being patient with me.
God, I love you more than anything. Whom have I in heaven but you? Earth has nothing I desire besides you. You are the reason for life, hope, and love. Be glorified, my Holy God!
