The Worst Witch: Meet Miss Hardbroom
After talking to most of my friends about the awesomness of The Worst Witch (that was brought back into my attention by orphan_of_oz 's lj) and especially the teachers of the British series (I am sorry, but I was always more interested in the teachers than what was happening in clumsy Mildred's life) and discovering not ONE OF THEM KNEW WHAT IT WAS, I decided to give my LJ friends a lesson about the show: especially (and mostly...) Miss Hardbroom.
First of all, imagine a teacher that is ice cold, with British accent and goes around in leather.
Now imagine she's a witch and knows her magic very well and teacher at the Academy For Witches.
Now imagine she hates most of the kids, teaches potions class and is extremely sarcastic. And now stop thinking of Severus Snape as a woman. Even though that would be a pretty good description :D. I would totally call her a love-child of Severus and Elphaba. And adding Cara's leather. Watch this:
Seriously, the teachers at the academy are the best! There is the headmistress Miss Cackle, who is fair and kind and open minded to many things - and those 'things' are brought in by Miss Drill, the gym teacher, who looks like a book-lesbian and is the only one at the school who doesn't know magic. Then there is the always-eccentric Miss Bat who - I am not kidding you - locks herself in the closet when she's upset (usually she gets upset by Miss Harbroom's sarcastic comments).
These four might be my favorite imaginary teachers ever. <3 There should be more fanfics...actually I haven't read ANY yet! :O *needs to do some digging*
Conclusion: go, download, watch. It's quite awesome.
