Weekend
I'll start from Friday, because thats when the real magic happened. I had it all planned out.. dinner and then drinks in Newtown. I met my sister at Ashfield so we could take my mum out to dinner, but my mum had invited one of her friends to come along as she was leaving to go back to HK on Saturday. So we waited. I'd assumed we'd leave for dinner by about 7ish and be back in time to pick up Murph at the pre-planned time of 9pm. Mum's friend was coming in from Chatswood and the only way she knew to come was over the Bridge. Umm.. hows about some Friday afternoon peak hour traffic?
So we didnt leave for dinner till 745 and luckily Sushi Bar Rashai is only about 5 mins away. We over-ordered as per (because Glenda didnt realise that some restaurants actually give people proper serves) and we didnt leave the restaurant till almost 930. You could imagine how agitated I was.
Super fast running around.. and I was picking up Lil Murphy 20mins later and we were on our way into Newtown to meet up with the other girls who had already been drinking for 4 hours for the UCLLAFND (University of Canberra Ladies of Landscape Architecture Friday Night Drinks) as Alison was in town!

They get pretty rowdy.
Saturday was YumCha at Rhodes with my Dad and my aunty (his sister), uncle, cousin Alan and his wife Carmen. It wasnt bad.. but it wasnt great. Like, they didnt have a vegie or fried things trolley.. so those things came out pre-cooked.. and kinda rubbery. I bought 3 DVDs (Office Space, Zoolander and Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle) because HMV was having a sale. Then I went to see Tash and drop off Kat's Greys Anatomy DVD, which I've had for like 3mths or something. Oops. I saw Nicass briefly before they all had to go for someones birthday party. I can't remember what I did after that.. or even what I ate.. and somewhere involved falling asleep on the sofa. OOH! I do remember waking up at about 130 and then watching The Ranch.. omg, can't believe I watched all of it. I think I was secretly thinking someone would get their gear off. Hahaha
Sunday.. umm.. I went and did my shop. I didnt really need anything from the supermarket, just the meat shops and Harris farm so I went to Rhodes - BAD MOVE. I was pretty annoyed at the general Ikea homemaker shopper, the icing was yelling (asking?) the trolley guy in the carpark (who was standing around txt msging) if he would kindly move the trolleys out of the way so I could drive between them and a car waiting to go into a car spot that I was blocking. The moron was all "Eyyy.. what you talkin about.. theres loik heeeeaaps of room here bro..". I hope I ran over his foot. I made a pot of portugese chicken (which I just ate for a late-late lunch) and also some white choc-chip cookies that seem to be a mega hit around here.
