Adjusting to NY life again!
So it has been a while since my last entry but I have been preoccupied with readjusting to the Amerian life in the Big Apple.
I arrived home last Saturday, June 18th and since then my life has been filled with unpacking suitcases, reregistering my car, getting auto insurance, going on job interviews, hanging with the family and having wonderful fellowship with my brothers and sisters in Christ! :)
Many of the youth at my church have graduated high school/secondary school so this weekend I attended various parties, bbq's and get togethers. I made a cake for the gang last night and we had an awesome time of laughter and eating!! :) I had a job interview this past sunday with a preschool run by the First Presbyterian Church in Flushing, Queens. The job is a head teacher position. It is a very small school and they are looking to double the enrollment. Therefore, my job would include taking care of curriculum, health and safety issues as well as publicizing for the school. I will also be doing some teaching as well. I am really excited to be working in the ministry this way. My father is a bit concerned about the enormous pay cut I will be taking, but that is all good! God will provide. He always does. I still need to be responsible, and there are a bunch of things I must consider. I will bring it to the Lord in prayer and I ask those of you can to also pray for this situation as well.
Dan is doing really well. For those of you who don't know, Dan is my absolutely amazing boyfriend! ;) We have had some really good times of fellowship together and it is so awesome knowing that I can see him everyday if I want to. He isn't 4000 miles away anymore!! woohoo!
I also left Oxford not having my dissertation completed. That is on my mind and I can't wait till all of that is through. I will be handing in my first completed draft to my supervisor by July 22nd. I really need to get that done asap and I have been pretty distracted over here in NY. I need to buckle down and start getting my act together! I could use some prayer in that way as well.
