i miss rome. i miss italy. i miss europe.
i miss my 5 roomates, from all corners of the u.s.
i miss our "family dinners" in which we try to cook italian food for our italian guests and they either politely decline to eat or take over with the cooking themselves. : )
i miss having an apartment full of random roomate friends who stay while visiting rome (some cool as hell, while others... very strange).
i miss italians.
i miss traveling throughout the city for 45 minutes just to get to school.
i miss passing the colosseum, roman forum, and piazza venezia every day.
i miss the trevi fountain and always getting lost by the pantheon / campo de fiori.
i miss hearing italian.
i miss foccacia boccacia and their pizza con patate (or pomodori, depending on the day).
i miss being able to travel to a different country during the weekend, if so desired.
i miss ashby.
i miss feeling like huge protests are a perfectly normal part of one's week.
i miss all of the churches, namely the gesu.
i miss gatorade arancia rossa.
i miss ponte sisto, and the saxophone man.
i miss all of the cats at torre argentina.
i miss the old couple at the alimentari across the street that were either insanely happy or in some sort of an argument (which made buying groceries a little awkward).
i miss "in the WAH-ROLD!", italian music videos, and valentina.
i miss going on "gelato outings" to piazza navona or the pantheon.
i miss avoiding the guys who sell roses/umbrellas/useless pieces of crap.
i miss having to be a translator for my roomates.
i don't really miss riding the buses or walking on all that cobblestone, but listing all of these other things that i do miss has made me kind of miss that just a little bit.

i need to stop now... damn you, pictures for doing this to me~!

once i graduate.... i am SO out of this country!
well, maybe it's more like: once i graduate and get some money, i am SO, SOO out of this country! : )
