kaya live!
KAYA <3 (look at the icon..) alicia went with me to the concert venue in shibuya at 4:00 or so. (venue = shibuya o-east) we did purikura beforehand, came out awesome, then to the place. the place was pretty packed (and a lot nicer and bigger than the venue, 'area' that i see random bands), you could kinda tell who was there for kaya, cause they were dressed in their girly gothic lolita dresses. we bumped into the guy from brazil, and he hung out with us during the concert, hes cool.
the first band was pretty good and funny. (No GoD) Then a random band then... kaya.. i asked two girls who were dressed up in puffy dresses 'whos next?' in japanese, they told me while they stuck up their nose at me 'sorry. dont know.' - as they moved close to the stage. i was getting upset, i wanted to secure a spot somewhat close to the stage if it was indeed kaya to perform next. so i asked a cool guy with white dredlocks and his girlfriend who was next, 'its kaya'. 'really?!' - me. then a girl nearby heard me get all happy, the guy and his girlfriend smiled at me and i was offered a spot near the stage, about 2ish rows back from it, alicia was behind me.
there were some girls right up against the stage calling out kayas name. they had made a rose rope (fake of course) that went on each of the 5 girl's wrists. (these girls were nice to me, i asked them earlier about bands) my spot eventually through the performance, almost went in front of the girls who had lied to me - who did not want me up near the stage. so i 'practiced' some japanese. saying, 'ive waited 4 years...'. then asking alicia if it was correct, loudly. lol. then it was time, and the curtain opened slowly and mysteriously as the stage was dark.
then we saw kaya standing there in a beautiful black dress that fitted his waist beautifully. his hair black, with black flowers and a small black veil (covering the back part of his head), and holding dead black roses. and began singing and twirling around. very beautiful and his voice live.. woah. he had a few new songs that i hadnt heard before. i loved hearing 'psycho butterfly' live - a new song that i love soo much. he had some uh.. backup dancers to. 2 random guys in mesh shirts dancing all around him. then for the 'masquarde' (ya i cant spell..) song, 2 guys came out. one guy just wearing red underwear and a red boa.. lol!! later on a pretty girl in a white tutu (ballerina) danced around him. there was one point during 'psycho butterfly' that i was moving my arms like him and he came over to our part of the stage. he pointed in my direction and gave the biggest and warmest smile, and did the hand motion too. im about 98% positive it was directed at me. i was smiling the whole time and singing along. the people around me just kinda stood there and nodded along. YAAAAAAAY! he sang and twirled beautifully and the lighting was pretty cool too.
afterwards more bands played, and so did 'daigo stardust' - a cool band that has been around for a while. wearing no costumes or such, regular clothes and playing rock. very good stuff. the vocalist was funny and made us all laugh with random japanese. then it was time to leave, phillip (the brazil guy), alicia, and i headed out. alicia and i grabbed some food. i had pancakes! yes! then i took the train home, showered, and went to bed.
