So, would you like some blueberry muffin with your lingering?

Evening all,

MERLIN! Merlin has finally reached Australian televisions and I've now seen the first episode. It's not at all historically accurate  but oh so pretty. Lots of fun and OH THE GAY. Anthony Stuart Head, you are more awesome than ever. I predict great and never resolved sexual tension between Arthur and Merlin, which I will love. Who doesn't love the gay and cute boys? I think I'm really going to like this series, especially if I can get my cousin to shut up for an hour so I can watch it in peace. He is one of those constantly noisy/busy 5 yo. boys.

Exciting Saturday! INTERNATIONAL FREE COMICBOOK DAY!  astridthemighty and heythatscool FTW, universe! Jenn stayed over friday night and we watched 'Breakfast on Pluto'. Why had I not watched this film before? Cillian Murphy is the prettiest both in and out of ladies clothing and I appreciate that he didn't hold back. I also appreciate the spy sequence. Excellent. I plan on watching this one again before I return it to the library.

Saturday saw us leaving way too early in the cold to grab delicious soy peppermint mochas before collecting Wolverine from Kings. Free comic in hand, we ogled the merchandise while waiting for a Nat. Nat! arrived, hugs were had by all and then the conversation started. We ogled some more before heading over to Kinokuniya for comic #2. There we browsed their art books, stationary and purchased said stationarhy and knitting zines from the zine fair. I floated the concept for Stationary Day. Stationary Day: you trawl as many awesome stores stocking stationary items as you can handle (or afford) in one day. I should also mention at this point that, thanks to a Jenn who is in all things awesome, now own a blue tiger notebook that came with a blue metallic glitter pen. I didn't, though I was tempted, buy any puffy paint pens or even regular paint pens. Perhaps next time? I need new plain Chucks for the cheap that I can decorate first. I do also have an awesome new bunny hairpin and havn't stolen Nats sailing ship shirt, or her 'she blinded me with library science' one. Her shirts win.

After that excitement, we headed downstairs to ogle yet more things in JB HI FI while Nat conducted her business. I'll admit to swooining over their musicals display. After this I took the oppertunity and a brief lull in our continuous chatting to give Nat her belated birthday present - GLOVES! I got to create the mitt-flips and knitted buttons myself and got to feel all proud because: they look good, they fit and they are liked. Score one point, team Fishmouse! Unfortuantly, this is where Jenn departed from our intreptid party as she had to leave to go game with some super fantastic people. Hugs were exchanged, Jenn left and the hunger kicked in. I, on Nat's advice, had my first lunch at that place next to Kino. Delicious ramen and a successful experiment in trying a Green Tea Cuppacino. Tasty. More talking, browsing, laughing at silly shoes and knitted goods before we retreated back to Starbucks for coffee. There we chatted & tested the awesomeness of Nats new purchase and eventually, after perhaps to long for a grand total of two drinks, we departed back to our own houses for dinner and not being rained upon. I had a good day. It's a shame that I don't get to see La Cube that often. I think it's the kind of thing I will defenitly want to do again - bludge around in the city all day with friends and good conversation.

Internets people I know in real life, look out. I'm in a sociable mood. You may be next!.
Seriously, the best stuffs under the cut.

Today, it has been a strange day today. I woke up tired, lasted five hours before I had to have a 2 hour nap. Woke up from that not as tired and are still up, trying to make it to at least 10 before I sleep again. Knowing me I'll oversleep and be tired all tomorrow too, which isn't good as I need to be awake in the evening for the first Belly Dance class of the new term. I will also likely have Lindt as my meeting in town is right near the Lindt shop. I may have to investigate thier new range first hand. Right now I have, as always, knitting projects on the go and fic. to read. I should depart and get somehting done.

Hugs to all,

~ mishka
