Havoc mentally counted the number of times his shots sliced through the air and pierced the inner circle of the target sheet. The target sheet kept moving forward, despite the shots, which only allowed Havoc to take easier shots before the sheet was pulled upwards into the ceiling. Through yellow-tinted safety glasses, he opened and closed his eyes, trying to moisten them, the staring without blinking having made them semi-dry and irritable.
Since the leave of Riza, Havoc hadn't come to the shooting range very often any more, the place having reminded him of her in a sense. Even so, he kept that fact to himself, only because in a situation like this, the best thing to do was to move on.
And here he was today, ordered to teach a rookie in how to fire a sidearm without blowing off his partner's ear or to incapacitate a civilian in the process.
Yeah, this was definitely moving on.
