The apartment was clean, and Kenpachi was armed. Both of those situations, at least, were as they should be. )
It may have seemed child-like in that moment, yet Haku was suprised when Kenpachi stepped away. He looked over to Kenpachi in confusion, yet all that showed was a blank look with eyebrows raised as he blinked.
Despite his unsurety, he walked in. The bag he had was full of movies - and two small board games; connect four and tic-tac-toe. Anytime he tried seeing if there was something else he could get her - it always would get shoved aside since he knew her arm was broken. At least when she got the cast off, being able to improve ones dexterity would be possible. Yet her other arm wasn't broken.
Speaking of her - Haku assesed the damage that Yachiru had gone through. He wanted to hug her, yet he wasn't sure if she would throw things at him for it or not - let alone, that would crush her already broken ribs. He sat down on the bed next to her, touching her arm gently. "Hey," He said softly.
His eyes stung, with the knowledge of him hurting her. He did every attempt possible to retract from showing tears. Haku had hurt her again, even when he tried not to do as such. "'m sorry I didn't get there in time yesterday."

She wasn't aware of the fact that Kenpachi had been kind enough to leave Haku alone with her, so when his was the only voice she heard she peeked out from under the covers slightly. Feeling the light touch on her arm she carefully sat up, reaching for her tablet.
'Hi. It's okee I was being cranky earlier. I'm sorry.' She held up the tablet for him to see, trying to pout cutely but the bruises and swelling in her face probably destroyed any illusion of adorability she was attempting to convey. The dark hair didn't help matters either. She waited for him to she he had read it before deleting everything she had typed.
She could tell he was going to do something stupid like treat her like a porcelain doll, and that would stop right now. 'If yer afraid to touvch me or something I hope it's not because I look like Hell. I ainyt broken.' She tried to give him a serious look, but not too withering.
Reaching out, she rest her good hand on his arm and gave a weak smile. 'I know ya tried and i'm sorry I said anythingf before someone could explain.' She was still somewhat hurt that he hadn't been there, but she took comfort in knowing he attempted.

Yachiru wrote once again, and Haku explained himself. "No, it's not because you're bruised up. Yet I'm sure if I do accidentally hurt you, you'd let me know." He had become less emotional about the situation. "Like I said before - It doesn't matter what happens to you, if I'm not on the frontline - I'm behind it to help."
Haku placed his hand overtop of hers, and rubbed his thumb against the top of her hand and smiled back. "It's all right. The little old lady says hello, and hopes you get better." He paused for a moment. "You remember that night when I helped off the bus, right? She was on that broken down bus too."

When he mentioned that his hesitance was not because of her bruised-up state she nodded, now more curious than ever. 'if yer not being hesuitant caudse I'm hurt then why? Being hurt doesn't make me eweak, I'd still fight ya if ya wanted. ^o^ She held up her fists in mock-fight mode, really wishing she could just curl up with him but she got the feeling Kenchan wouldn't be cool with coming in and finding Haku and her snuggling.
Hearing him mention the old lady he had helped before caused an odd reaction in Yachiru. Her forehead furrowed as she tried to work out how long it had been since she and Haku had seen the woman. She knew it was the night before she went missing but time seemed to blur as far as how long she was gone for. Typing out slowly, she held up her tablet. 'I got a questrioin. Hoew long wsqas I gfone for?l She was sure it wasn't long, but still.
