Gracia had prepared cookies. Maes had pulled out toys. Elysia had helped, dressing up her dolls to be ready for a guest, even though Maes was pretty sure Reno was a male name. Then again, Rufus had named someone Dark Nation, so who knew? Not Maes, at the very least.
"What?" Maes turned his attention away from the window and to Gracia. "No, love, I'm sure we don't need punch. Milk goes well with cookies, and whomever brings Reno will probably be glad to have an adult drink like tea or coffee. I have no idea how old Reno is. I hope Elysia and Reno have fun!" Smiling, proud of his scheduling skills, Maes resumed watching for a car to pull up.
