Before heading towards the house she patted the hood lovingly, it wasn't quite an odd thing-- she'd been known to hug the vehicle before )
Waiting for her to tell him what she wanted, he leaned back against the counter and hoped the blush on his face had faded some. He hadn't meant to brush off the question, just to postpone it a moment so he could collect himself. "I... ah, I inherited my parents' and grandparents' estates when my grandfather died. I lived on campus last year, and just decided to stay at home this year. It's much easier to study in the quiet than in the dorms," he explained quietly. He really didn't draw attention to the fact that he was the sole heir of several impressive fortunes, and had no intention of doing so. It wouldn't help him with his studies, except that it paid his bills and saw that he was able to pursue his dreams. That was all there was to it.

Nodding slowly, she watched him curiously. Estates, huh? He seemed uncomfortable explaining it, but she didn't really understand why he did. It wasn't anything he could change, so he just had to live with the fact that there were bound to be people who were only interested in how much money he had. She could relate in a way. Her parents had left her a nice sum of money in their will, nothing at all anywhere near what Izuru had inherited, but it was still some kind of connection. "Can't say I inheritied estates, but I know that the second I can touch the money my parents left me I'm going the same route as you and getting out of the dorms. Trying to study for test and write papers with a roommate who I'm surprised hasn't flunked out yet is not at all easy."
