The lights were low, the music was loud, and the doors were open wide inviting inside every Tom, Dick, Jane, and Harry; Cicero didn't discriminate, just so long as you weren't a cop.
Bright fuchsia and electric blue lights flashed to the rhythm of Nickelback's S.E.X. playing over the large speakers put up around the club. The air was thick with the distinct smell of smoke and booze, the same that always hung in Cicero's atmosphere, beneath the extra thick current of perfume and cologne that night. In cages lined up along stages to the right, left and back of the central floor were some of the many different dancers, going to town with their acts and getting what was left of their outfits stuffed with bills.
The bartender along the far right wall at the bar counter was busy. A few of the hostesses were helping him out just so that he could keep up with tabs and making drinks and serving beer. The owner was in the far back corner smoking on a cherry cigar and grinning ear to ear as patrons filed in one after the other, all of them lustful and hungry looking.
Envy wasn't far, slipping out of one of the back rooms where he had just finished a show for a customer. What he'd made was stuffed into an inside pocket on his person before his bruise-toned eyes were darting through the crowd to try and pick out one of the three people he was looking forward to seeing tonight...
