L waited by the front door, staring at his bare toes. He was still worried about Watari, and now he had Kurenai to worry about, as well. He'd seen Aang several times, and wanted to get to know him better, if only so he could be less wary of the other boy inhabiting the young woman's house. He was apprehensive about venturing out with someone who would probably become frustrated with him quickly; if Aang had a tendency towards tossing off careless figures of speech, or walking too close, or a variety of other innocent little things, the outing could quickly turn hellish for the habit-bound detective.
