...well...missing water...you know what I mean...
So,
Tomorrow will be two weeks without internet at home.
Now, that's not really a lot of time in the scheme of things, but it still f*cking sucks.
The Comcast folks are coming by tomorrow afternoon to see what's wrong with their modem since it's apparently not my computer. So, hopefully, I will be fully functional tomorrow night for chat. (Crosses fingers.)
Anywho, what else has been happening in my merry world since the last time I updated. (Checks date of last entry.)

Seems like it's been quite a while...
*shrugs* Oh well, what can you do.
Recent happenings (shameless thievery of layout from eleran again):
+ "Dino" computer's monitor finally died (R.I.P. 7/25/08), so I'm now mostly operational on the new computer (see note above re: internet). Plan to keep "dino" computer for writing or maybe scavenging
+ Have lost about 5 more pounds in addition to whatever I lost when the tumors were removed, so now none of my pants fit and the bulk of my tops are kinda "hanging". (Whoo! Hoo!)
+ My really good friend P.G. paid for my house to get an electrical "heavy-up" and central air. Because of the "heavy-up", all of the electrical outlets that I thought were broken are now working! No more jury-rigging (gerry-rigging?) for the fridge! And my washing machine works again! (Yippee!)
+ My writing muses are back and attacking me more fiercely than ever
+ My nephew is home from Italy for the summer and it's been great to see him
+ My son turned 20 on 7/15/08 (Hmm. Gotta change all of my profiles to reflect that. As soon as I get internet...)
+ Hysterectomy incision has healed completely
+ Didn't make it to Anime Expo since my fundage was weak. Plan to hit Ohayocon again with dragonwrangler, tool_man, sensoo and mitts (unless we do Anime North instead)
+ I've gotten back into the swing of things at work (though I may be adding more duties soon as our Admin. Officer is leaving on 8/17/08)
+ My hair has become it's own entity due to the summer heat (and my lack of a perm) and refuses to do anything remotely resembling "stylish," forcing me to keep it in a clip at the back of my head most of the time. (I hope to get this remedied tonight.)
+ Reconnected with an old friend from USPS that I hadn't seen since 2006
+ Finally accepted that new computer is without sound card altogether (thought that it was just something I wasn't doing) so now have to go get one that with work and put it in. Grrrr! (Will call Tiger Direct to complain too!)
+ Updated several of my fan fictions and started a few more
+ Changed my eating habits to something healthier (less butter, sugar, red meat, heavy sauces and creams, almost no fried foods)
+ Realized that I should write on my main LJ more ^_^
