All I want for Christmas is a NEW JOB.

Hi all!  I hope the holidays were good for everyone, and you got all you asked for...or were smart enough to ask for anyway.  HEH.

Me?  Eh, who cares.  It was just another holiday, and I spent too much on my kids, etc.  You know the drill.

So, a funny thing happened on the way to work this morning.

Evidently my boss had a fight with her husband and decided to spend money.  She announced to all of us that today was "Tiffany's Day" in the office.

*JAWDROP OF SHOCKED SILENCE*

Yes, that's Tiffany's as in the jewelry store.  Uh-huh.

I musta looked like a deer in headlights when she told me to pick something.  'Cause that's the kinda hick I am.  I have never bought much jewelry.  EVER.  My biggest purchase was my engagement ring--which sadly enough I helped pick out.  Handing me a jewelry catalog and telling me to pick something was like handing me a a scalpel and asking me to perform surgery.  Umm....not so much with the skills.

But I found two rings I really liked and would wear (that little phrase being key here), and we'll see which one she decides to order.  I figured it was better to leave it up to her as to how much she wanted to really spend.

Freak me out.

Then the other boss lady got a new computer for the office, and she's sending her old one (like 2-3 years old) home with me for the boys.

OH....and I'm quitting.

Yes, I am.

Fuckers.  I almost succumbed.  Almost.  I almost sold out.
But I am updating my resume as we speak, and I am going out to try and sell myself.  It was discussed that it is neither here nor there whether I spend the rest of my working life at this particular spot or in another.  What matters is that we get financially free and have some money set aside.  If I don't have to drive an otracious amount of time/distance to do this, so much the better.  And really.  For 18-20 hours a week, it just don't pay to drive half an hour to work.  Not with gas prices like this.

And so it will be that I will soon find another place of employment and I will be free of the...*GRR ARGH*...stress of this place.  Ah....happiness.  *sigh of relief*  It's enough to put a REAL BIG OLE smile on my face.

*SNERK*
