...'cause I am just now realizing how much I dislike the spring and summer. It seems rather odd, I suppose, to say that this is the time of year when things come alive for me. But there you have it. It just seems that so much happens in the fall. (See that other post of mine for the reasons why I love autumn.) In the spirit of autumn, here's my list of things I love about Halloween. Just for kicks.
- Harry Potter. Why? Because the descriptions of the Halloween feast every year make me strive to be a better Mommy Witch.
- Dressing up--do you ever really grow out of this? OF COURSE NOT!
- Harvest Moon--big and orange. Awesome.
- Decorations. Better than Christmas when you can make the whole house look like a castle....or the cemetary.
- Lots of candles. And in all my favorite smells...apple pie, pumpkin spice, that weird black candle that supposedly smells like licorice...
- Excited kids. C'mon. They're cute!
- Birthday Party! With all the cool decorations and stuff. HEH!
- Leaves swirling down the street. It's just so...cool.
- "I do believe in ghosts!!" *claps hands*
- This time of year just brings out the witch in me. Can't help that.
Okay, not as good as my fall list...but I'm trying to convince myself that I should not be doing this. I am at work after all. But one more note...YAHOO! Michaels and AC Moore have the decorations and Target is just the coolest place to shop for Halloween decorations. AHHHH....I love this time of year!
I'm going to go work now. I swear. *giggles*
