Today I go to meet with my new employer to fill-out some paperwork, sign the offer letter, and go for the drug screen. How I’m feeling is such a weird mix: excited to the point of bouncing off the walls and at the same time I’m feeling so-o-o much tension and stress draining away to the point of relaxation!
There are so many people I want to thank for all their help:
youngraven for telling me about open position! Also, reviewing and editing my resumé, your emotional support, help, and the occasional meal.
bookwench for giving my resumé to the HR dept., and recommending me, and your suggestions on handling the interviews.
koyote19 for your loan that saved me from eviction.
typsygypsy for all the comfort you gave me, the support, meals, coffee, meals, and let’s not forget alcohol!
shaddowshoes for advice, a great job-getting book, suggestions, leads, the occasional meal, and making up some darn-fine drinks!
r_grayjoy for being a great friend.
And the “non-LJ” people who might not see this but deserve thanks all the same:
So many members of my family: Mom, my sister Jenny and her husband Johnny, my grandparents G & G ‘B’, Uncle Bill & Aunt Donna, and (surprisingly) Dad.
So many friends that gave ideas, suggestions, helped with my resumé, gave me leads, helped to keep me in food, or gave some comfort and support:
Dayna, bandmate Chris, Andy & Linda Katz, Toar, Linda King, John & Beverly, Rianna, Ky Nguyen for being a great reference, and Dave Jasso for writing a wonderful Letter of Recommendation.
I’m sure there’s someone I’ve momentarily forgotten; I’m only on my second cup of coffee.
