A super dooper quick PAC and life update-
Thursday night- Class was good but boring. Learned like 8 people failed the test...ouch! Sucks to be them. Also that means we'll probably get a talk from the teacher monday being all disappointed in us and such.
Friday-
Drove to PAC planning to park at Providence Place Mall. I accidently get off on exit 19 by being in the wrong lane. It's the kind of exit that spits you out on a mini highway so I got a little lost and turned around.(ended up on Wickenden street!) Eventually found the way back to 95 north and get caught in some congestion there due to a garbage truck catching on fire. (The fire truck came past us while we were all on the off ramp).
All in all it was a good thing I was later than I had wanted. Things at the con...they really didn't start till 3pm (except for artist alley and they only had maybe 3 people set up at 1pm when that was set to open.)
Went and grabbed an Orange Julius(I haven't had one of those in YEARS!) and Popeyes chicken in a bisquit. (Chicken+bisquit=weakness of yum!)
Panels I went to:
-She may not be into Meowth, Otaku dating tips (hosted by Soul Geek relationship guru)
(This girl Sarah is hilarious and personable and had great stories. She is the one that ran the Anime in Popculture pannel at CTcon that Kate and I went to. I wouldn't mind going to another pannel of hers or even being her friend)
-Mixology,hotel party planning
(run by Masq chair of AB last year. She was super organized but the crowd was kind of out of control and she didn't reign it in very well)
-AMV creation beginning to end
(OMG...not only do I know what they are talking about..I think I have a better grip on the basics of AMV making now than 3 of the 4 panelists! And 3 out of the four had a weird sense of humor that made them think they were being funny but were failing horribly. The panel certainly was too confusing for beginners though(they didn't really explain the programs or steps very well). It makes me want to email the girl that taught me and tell her what a great job she did!)
Saw Julie! YAY! She looks very tall and elegant these days!
Met a guy named Adam while waiting for a panel. Flirted and gave him an apple. Nothing came of it though.
Met Meowth guy...really wish I hadn't.
Dealers Room:
DAMN. So little Shika & Sanji stuff for me! I walk in and Nicole and Sheilas characters have stuff everywhere! Even in the yaoi doujin of like 4 booths= No One Piece at all. Finally I find some and I buy 2. One is short. One is longer and features cute art but a concept I don't entirely get (Normal Zoro and Sanjilops(dinosaur sanji)/sometimes Sanji.I scanned one in the computer last night and if you belong to any of my OPyaoi communities you've seen the link.
Have no monies now.
Oh. I had $21 set aside for parking...I thought the website said $7 each day. At the end of day one as I was leaving my parking cost $20.
Not sure if I can even afford to go to the con today. Stupid parking..*grumble*
Now giving my sister the body polish for Spa Massage logs.
