About children costs and overpopulation.

Question: Would you say that being able to have children has become something of a luxury especially in todays economic situation?

Pascal Morimacil answer:

It depends:

If you just want to have kids, you can have kids.
Even very poor people have kids.

What do you want for your children though?

Do you want to bring kids into the world, into this world?
Do you want to have kids, if they are just going to have a shitty life?

Were you imagining that your kids would have access to a garden, and healthy food, and that you would have time to spend with them, and be able to go on vacations with them and so on?
That kind of stuff is a luxury you will probably never be able to afford, with or without kids.

My comment:

I am shocked at slow reaction of green inclined people to circumstances. Excess people population and birth rate have only been issue in developing countries for I believe about 40-50 years now, and now only issue in poorest countries in Africa and Asia an so on.

Current problem in all developed countries (and China) is too low birth rate, and so governments (I know about Russia) try to increase birth rate anyway they can, through it is difficult and mostly didn’t reach it goal.

Yes, often children are expensive and it is difficult to have them, but at the least stated government policy is to have more children, not less. In the Russia they directly and indirectly pay you (including Maternal capital, I believe).

(Мой коментарий довольно неуместный, вопрос немного не о том. Но по сущности - продожающиеся нытье о перенаселении - актуален)
