The Word out of Mish-land...

Lok-tar ogar!

Mish is now gainfully employed, and is so far, being treated well at job. Drawback: not too terribly many hours. Benefit: Mish's feet and back aren't killing her by the end of the shift.

Matron Mother is still grouchy, but I'm learning which is bluster and which is something to listen to. Things have finally started to relax about the god-damn dog (I can get away with petting him in plain sight of her now). I'm beginning to wonder if maybe the excessive amounts of prescription drugs have something to do with her bitchiness.

There is now talk of getting a car, though this leaves me feeling hesitant. I'm not so sure I want to be THAT far in debt with her. I know I need one, but damn... She tends to have a way of lording things over someone. Not to mention the guilt-trips and grudges... Oiy.

But, the first full paycheck comes two days before my birthday this month. And, oh joy, oh rapture... The birthday falls on a frigging Sunday! No bar-hopping for da Mish, damn it. Not sure how I'm going to work out the drinking thing since that's what's going on. It's one of the few times I actually allow myself to get severely into excess anymore.

I know, the last paragraph was whiney... Feh. I'm allowed.

I've been trying to get some writing done, but things aren't looking too good on the home team there. I've also been trying to get Kittenshouse back up, but for some damn reason, my FTP program isn't wanting to get me the directory listing so I can upload anything to it. Which means, it might be a bit until the domain's back on its toes.

Thank the Goddess I managed to get my Internet Explorer working again, otherwise, there wouldn't be an update here. Sheesh. When it rains, it pours. I'll figure something out, even if it means having to get a new computer through the boys at Adam's Bay (even though that would require about $450 and a three+ hour drive to pick the damn thing up).

Things are starting to go in a good direction again... Let's see how long they stay that way this time around.

Ishnu-dal-dieb!
