Bummed out that because I gave platelets and plasma on July 30, the Red Cross cancelled my Aug 21st appointment to give blood during the KLOS Blood Drive.
I had made the appointment to donate platelets only, but when I showed up the guy who took my vitals asked if I wanted to make it a platelet/plasma donation instead.
I asked what was the difference, he never said that if I donated plasma, I couldn't donate blood for 28 days (4 weeks). If he had mentioned the "28 days", I would have said to keep the donation to platelets only.
Besides being immobile for 2 1/2 hours, I wound up with a nasty bruise on my left arm.
Left arm - the one I have used for over 100 donations, many of the for the KLOS Blood Drive and Winter/Holiday blood drives.
