Quite long Weekend Detail
Well despite the crappy news we got Friday, we had a good weekend. Ben's mom came down from Michigan Friday to spend the weekend with us. Lucky her didn't realize we would be hearing the news on the day she got here. lol. But she got to our house around 6 and had picked up Ben's messed up sister Sarah from her ghetto apartment in Dayton. Scary. So we all went to eat at Barnsider. Yum. Yum. The last time I was there was for Annie & Jesse's Rehearsal dinner. The steak just melted in my mouth. Gotta love my MIL! Then we dropped off Sarah at her apartment and her husband shows up and we had to see him again. Sarah has been with him since she was 16 years old and she is now 24. It's been an awful relationship but they went to the Dominican 6 years ago and got married yet they hardly live together. It's just a bad situation and his sister is a spaz. I have to really work hard to be nice and not strangle her.
Saturday we went to the Sweet Corn Festival in Fairborn. Brock loves corn on the cob. That boy will enhale two of them like nothing. Brock rode on the pony rides and the boys rode on the train. Sarah had her husband drop her off there and so I once again had to put up with her much to my dismay. But we had fun and we made her ride on the train with Hayden so we didn't have to. ha
Then we left there and went to the Fairfield mall to do a little school shopping for Brock. It was a mad house there! But we got Brock some new shoes, some shirts, pants and a fleeze jacket from the Gap. I really need to get him some more pants but I'm not worried about it this week.
We got home and were exhausted! Hayden fell asleep so Ben & I took a nap too. We got up later and got dressed to go out. Since my MIL was there, Ben & I were heading out for some drinks. We went to Bw's first and had a couple drinks there in Huber and just talked about what our options may be with his job and stuff. Then we went back to Vandalia to Aviators (or called Stubbies) and drank there. I got quite drunk and made friends with alot of males that were there. lol Ben & I get quite social and so we were talking with a lot of people we didn't know and having a good time. I did buddy up with the DJ and he played every song I requested right away. I guess showing some cleavage does do wonders. haha
Then we saw a guy we went to highschool with and talked to him. And we saw a girl we went to highschool with and who happened to be one of Ben's girlfriends in highschool. Lucky me. But she was cool and we talked to her forawhile. I loved how crappy her life is. haha The I saw another girl I knew from years ago when I was hanging out with some other friends of mine before I had kids. So that was neat. Around 2:30 they literally had to make us leave and we went home.
As soon as I laid down to sleep, the world started spinning... I got sick, then ate some bread and went to bed. I woke up with a huge headache which reminded me why I only get that drunk twice a year (it takes me about 6 months to forget what a hangover feels like and then I repeat the bad mistake again).
Ben had a golf outting to go to so I was stuck with the kids and Mil who does not help clean up after herself! ugh. But we relaxed and she took the boys for a walk while I got a shower and the house cleaned. We went to Friendly's for lunch and then my Mil left for Michigan.
Ben finally got home around 7 and I ran up to Demmitt Elementary to see what teacher Brock has for Kindergarten. Not that I know who any of the teachers are... But I did know that the one I saw at the Passport to Safety there did not amuse me and seemed like an idiot. So I am happy to say Brock did not get her. yeah!
Tonight is meet the Teachers at Demmitt so we are going to that. I guess we'll see his teacher, see his classroom and all that fun stuff. I just can't believe he is in school now. My baby......... =(
