[Sup Vertiline. Wolfwood's got an announcement. Kinda debatable how important it is. Also, this post? Backdated to a little before noon.]So, since it seems pretty damn likely that there's gonna be another monster invasion soon enough, I'm gonna set up a shooting range outside of Ardel. Anyone wanting to get in some practice or learn how to shoot a ( Read more... )

I'll be there.

[And, true to her word, Liz shows up a short while later.]

I'm guessing you're Wolfwood? [She recognized his voice from the time she asked about Vert's cigarette supply.]

[Wolfwood's taking a smoke break himself when he spots her. He approaches her as she walks up.]

Yeah, that'd be me. Liz, right?

[He offers his hand, an easy smile on his face.]

You're not wrong, at any rate. [Liz? Friendly? It's more likely than you think!

At least, she's friendly with people she's comfortable with. From their one conversation, Liz has decided that Wolfwood's a decent guy - and he knows how to work with weapons. That means he'll be a good ally for whenever something happens next.]

Is that offer for a smoke still open? [Liz had done well with Loe's information since her last post, having gotten her own supply of tobacco and cigarette papers from the stores.

Liz would have one of her own, but it isn't as if she brought all that to a shooting range.]

[There's a short, soft chuckle at that-girl's got a dry sense of humor, something Wolfwood can appreciate.

He's already done his fair share of assessing himself; Liz knows how to use a gun-always a positive in his book; it means she can handle herself when shit goes wrong-and she seems reliable enough, a genuinely nice lady. It'd be a lie to say he trusts anyone in Vertiline to watch his back completely-there's only two people he's ever trusted to do that, one of them being himself and the other is not here, thank God-but in a pinch, he thinks she'd be someone who'd give a shit and that's about all he can hope for.]

Sure. Think I might even have one with a filter left.

[Fortunately, Wolfwood came prepared! He'd rolled a few by hand before heading here himself and stuck them in the pack he'd saved. He reaches into his jacket pocket, fishes around for the carton and his pack of matches, eventually digging out an off-brand with no logo and offering it up to Liz.]
