[You know, Wolfie, telling him not to show up only makes Link want to show up. Monster invasions? Come on. He needs weapons so he won't be useless.]

Link's never seen a gun before so he's kind of watching to see how it works. He has a sword and his shield though. So yay :>]

[And Wolfwood's firing off a few practice shots at some shoddily made scarecrows, pretty convinced that offering to do this was a waste of time.

He stops to reload his handgun, but turns when he hears a noise behind him. And stares. Ahhhh kid, why is it a kid?]

Hey, don't go hanging around here.

[Link was watching the show curiously. But now Wolfwood is turning to look at him. Whoops. Don't mind him! He'll just...move to another spot? :D? Then sit in the grass and watch. He won't be a bother, promise!]

[Wolfwood scowls a little-not at Link, but himself. Not exactly the nicest way to greet someone, even if they didn't listen to him. He shifts, inwardly debating about whether or not to play nice and eventually his conscious wins out.]

You just came to watch?

[He sounds a little skeptical, but his tone is a little friendlier.]

[Link doesn't miss the scowl. But...he hasn't done anything wrong. He hasn't picked up a gun and tried to shoot it. He's just sitting here in the grass.

He smiles and nods at Wolfwood's question. He won't butt in, he just wants to see what a gun is.]

[Well, if he's just gonna stay over there... Wolfwood shrugs, deciding it isn't worth the effort to chase him off.]

Just don't cause any trouble.

[It's the only warning he's going to give, though his shoulders are noticeably more tense as he turns away. With both hands on the grip, he carefully takes aim at the scarecrow's head and fires.]

[He's a good kid! See? He was just sitting here watching Wolfwood quietly, up until he decided he couldn't see what was making that loud noise. SO he's just gonna inch up a little closer.

He's not causing problems. No really.]

[Okay, technically Link isn't doing anything wrong but his moving around is kinda distracting. Wolfwood stops once again and turns to look at him, one eyebrow arched.]

[Link is staring at the gun so it takes him a minute to answer. Stop being rude, Link, geeze.

He finally takes out his comm and begins typing. He's gotten much better at this typing thing!]

[He waits, letting the kid take his time even if he's not feeling all that patient. There's a small pang of guilt as he suspects that maybe this kid can't speak but he shoves it aside as he reads the comm, looking to his gun and then Link.]

[Don't feel guilty, Wolfwood. Link can talk! And if he has a reason to, he'll do it.]

[He'll figured it out eventually! Wolfwood tries not to huff as he reads the word 'swords.' He's infinitely biased but he doesn't wanna start encouraging kids to pick up weapons.]

Yeah? What for?

[Because it bothers him that so many kids here have a history of using weapons, even if it doesn't show. YOU SHOULD BE OFF PLAYING GAMES AND DOING SILLY THINGS, NOT TRYING TO KILL STUFF.]

[Link pauses and his brow furrows. His expression reads quiet determination. He takes a moment to word what he wants to say next.]

[That look catches him by surprise and part of Wolfwood wants to just ruffle the kid's hair, tell him everything will be okay. But that's Vash's style, not his.]
