So now that Legacy of the Force is over... thoughts anyone? Did you like it? Hate it? Will you be picking up the next book or ten or however many they write after this?
I'm sure everyone can figure out how I feel -- it looks a lot like this: :|

I hated what they did to Jacen.
I won't be picking up the books after LotF. I didn't mind Jacen as Sith Lord and I thought they could have made it very interesting and exciting. I did like the slow descent into Sith madness but it could have been much better. Instead they took the easy way out.
Killing him was the last straw, however. They didn't even try at redemption (as far as I can tell from the discussions - I refused to read Invincible).
So, I'm not happy about what they did. It's too bad, too, because I like Aaron Allston as a person and as an author but apparently he's writing some of the next books in the next series and I'm not buying them.

Killing him reduces the plot potential of future books. Heck, let's face it. I'm just pissed about it.
But it's really been the accumulation of all that death and destruction. After a while, it seems unrelenting. I can't take it any more.

It's been amusing to consider.

There's some bad ass force wielder that is Vader's Secret Apprentice in the new game. So far, he just pops up in the middle of the Jedi purge and is this bad ass hand-of-Vader that is so attuned that he can crash Star Destroyers into things using force powers. They haven't bothered to release any information as to how he's been introduced into the story or how he fades out, though -- so I'm amused with theory that he's Jacen flow-walking. ;)
We're close enough to the launch date that they've started leaking more information about the Apprentice's childhood, so the theory is blown, but I still like it. LOL
