My child has suddenly become one of the most evil human beings! It's been getting progressively worse as the summer has gone by and I can tell today is going to be a doozy ( Read more... )

Em has been the same way lately. Is it the weather? The lack of structure that comes with going to school, or preschool in Em's case? I don't know, wish I did, but she'd better watch it. Mom and Dad are both nervous and stressed and she's pushing her luck! So you have my deepest sympathies and if you figure out how to crush the attitude problems let me know! :-)

I seriously think the not being in school is affecting my son. He has always been one of those kids that people think are a total angel but then is demonic at home lol. Plus lately I've not had the patience to deal with him like I probably should. Either way I'm actually starting to look forward to school starting again! ha!

Exactly the same way Em is. The only other place she ever acts up is my parents house. Otherwise the minute you get her in public, school, etc. she's perfect. Unless she's tired, sick or hungry. But I know exactly how you feel. Almost makes me wish preschool was full day, but we can't afford full anyway. At least it's something! :D

man, im gonna kill my kids, lol.
my neighbor down the street'll pin her kids up against the wall if they backtalk her.
Actually, any kid.
It's funny to watch her grab her (now) 18 year old daughter and pin her up against the wall.

She's even whacked me over the head for making stupid comments.
I love it.

Well... I draw the line at getting physical with kids... the occasional smack on the arse (with my bare hand) to remind them who's boss is about it. Otherwise I know what to threaten... no video games and my kid sobs. He may not listen to what I told him to do but he sure feels the pain of not listening when he can't play video games.

I suppose I could see getting in your teenager's face... but gawd I hope my kid and i can communicate better by then. *_*
