Greetings everyone.

I think I'll do a semi-decent update here.

First off, I'd like to say that listening to to much of one band [Led Zeppelin] will make you temporarily lose interest in them. I still love Led Zeppelin, but during their reign as my favorite band, I lost interest. So I am going to hold off learning Stairway for a week or so, I already have a good portion of the song down, but not enough... I'm getting in to a bunch of different types of music, including classical. I really like how a classical guitar sounds and I want to start playing it but I don't have the money to buy a Classical guitar, but I will after I get a job. I have come up with a theory, playing punk on a guitar will hold you back from your possible potential. If all you play is punk on a guitar/bass most likely you're not going to be very good, which is why I don't play it anymore, unless it's with my band, or if I want to learn something that is punk. The only punk bands I listen to now are afi, Anti-Flag, Adolescents, and some other ones. You probally want to know why I only listen to a few as compared to only punk, it's simple, because the guys in these bands have talent! I like listening to people that have talent, especially Jade from afi [guitar]. He really is awesome, he was voted "Best New Guitar Player" by Guitar World Magazine readers. I guess I'm done preaching about why I don't like punk that much anymore for now, but the bitching will continue. ;-)

I am currently learning these songs: The Offspring - The Kids Aren't Alright, the tapping part in Van Halen's Eruption, Slayer - Raining Blood and Van Halen - Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love. Great songs. I suggest you download them all, especially Eruption by Van Halen, it's just a fucking crazy guitar solo done by the amazing Eddie Van Halen. Speaking of Eddie, I changed the background of my journal from Randy Rhoads to Eddie Van Halen 'cause I didn't want someone to think that I was obsessive compulsive or something with the Randy Rhoads icon, Randy Rhoads journal background, Randy Rhoads Desktop background and Randy Rhoads' name in my AIM profile, haha, he's great. If you don't know who he is, he played in Ozzy back in the 70s and 80s untill his death (RIP). Download Crazy Train and Mr. Crowley by Ozzy Osbourne, Randy played guitar in both songs and they are both amazing songs.

Well, that's enough for now.

Peace.
