I didn't lose anything special or important or meaningful.... just something I was cleverly coaxed into believing was special and important and meaningful. I put myself out there, and of course I got hurt. I always say this seems to be getting old, yet I do it over and over again. The next time I lie to myself, I'm going to lie to that person also. Everything will be fine. I won't have to see him ever again after next week.
