While I have a few minutes where I'm not busy or about to fall asleep...
I've been working since Thursday, and the job is going pretty well thus far. The first three days were the worst for me, just getting back into the swing of working, complete with bumps, muscle aches, and bruises.
This week has been really busy. We got in a shipment of just under 800 boxes Monday. Lots and lots of stuff to find homes for in the store. The place looks pretty good. As it stands, we'll be ready for opening day Monday. When I left this afternoon, all that was really left to do was put up displays and signs, double checking to make sure all the merch looks good, and train everyone on registers...that will probably happen tomorrow.
I really hope tomorrow will be a short day, I need more than just Sunday to recover. I've stayed tired since I started working, and I haven't had the time or energy to do much else.
There's still a lot to think about. While I did get paid, and will be again in a few days, I'm still worried about money. Thankfully, Jason was able to get things worked out with the bank so our overdraft didn't eat up our entire checks.
I also was able to get back in my online classes, which is great, but I need to figure out when to work on it. I was hoping to get in a little time after work, but I'm just to tired to think about much.
On another up note, I've actually been eating. I'm up to three meals a day, which is a very rare thing for me. I'm almost always ready for a meal now because I've been so busy and active. Hopefully this will help me put on a few pounds. Now, I need to work on improving the quality of my meals. I have more fast food than I'd prefer since there are places within walking distance from the store. I'll work it out. I also plan to see what I can do about bringing some kind of lunch with me to work...cheaper and healthier.
On top of all that, I have two shows coming up soon. One of which sounds like it may be a bigger show. What bothers me a little is I may have to design for it by myself. I'm not sure if I'm ready to take on a big show by myself. *crosses fingers* here's hoping. Thankfully, the management seems pretty cool about me doing shows, provided I give them advance notice.
Ok, kiddies, its about time for the Mel to work on going to bed.
