Its been a while since I've posted anything about my progress with trying for my GED. There really hasn't been much to tell. I'm still working on my online math class, and finally showing a bit of improvement. I finished my first round with it not that long ago, but decided to go back through....repetition tends to help things stick in the memory...and started bring up my scores on the chapter tests by as little as 3 points and as much as about 10+ points.
I went to ACC yesterday to finally get started on my pretests. I didn't have a lot of time, so I decided to get two of them out of the way. Going by my online test scores, I decided to go with the two I scored the highest in, Reading and Social Studies. I already knew I'd do fine on the Reading section, but was a bit concerned with the other. I just got my scores for them. The school requires a score of at least 500 on the pretests to be able to take the real versions of the test. I scored a 680 in Reading and a 600 in Social Studies. Since I scored so well, I can now set up a time to go in and take the real versions of those sections.
I'm planning on going by the school again tomorrow to attempt the math section, something I'm pretty nervous about, and I'll try to have a go at the Science and Writing sections if I feel up to it. I'm nervous but excited about this stuff all over again. I've been ready to have all this done and over with for a while now, but have made very little effort to do so. I guess I just got sick of sitting on my ass and doing nothing to work towards finishing.
