you'd think i'd learn by now, there's never an easy way

so i've made the difficult decision to get a second, part time job. more money? less free time? we all gotta make sacrifices somewhere. especially with a baby on the way. i figure that from september to december, that'll be an extra $1000 in my pocket. er, in the doctor's pocket, since that's how much the birth will cost--at a minimum. they weren't kidding when they said babies were expensive. and i once thought that had to do with diapers and toys. silly me.

i have my eye on two places: earth fare and curves. EF is right across the street from work, is very low-key, and i can wear regular clothes. plus having the employee discount card once again would be cool. yeah, yeah, and there's the open-minded alterna-hippie atmosphere, too. can't forget the smelly hippies.

i pretty much know the deal at curves, having worked out there for over a year. four coaches just left, so i know there's open positions. bonus is they close at 7pm and aren't open for weekends. double bonus is they're changing locations, one that is hella closer to my house. triple bonus is that i won't have to suspend my membership to save money after all, as i can work out for free if i'm an employee.

hmm... which sounds better?

both would pay the same. and it's only till mid january, when the baby is due. afterwards, i'll prolly have to go to nights at panera so david can keep his shift differential at target. it'll be like it was when he closed at earth fare, but we'll have to make it work. no way can we afford daycare now and hells no way am i giving up my several week old child to strangers for a few hours a day. a year old, maybe. but not newborn. pssht.

the first dr's appointment is next friday, and i'm prepared to find out that, yes, i am actually a month more along than i had originally thought. so that means i'm starting my fourth month this week. makes sense, when i take my symptoms into consideration. hungry almost every hour? check. painfully sensitive skin? check. boobs up a cup size? check. aside from the ultrasound proof, it's all there.

in other news, the guy who stole david's scooter had been arrested and charged with grand theft. the officers in charge of the case are going to investigate to see if he was the one who stripped the bike, and if so, we can charge him for damage and possibly get some money out of him. let's hope we don't hear or see him or any of his buddies after the fact. stay in jail and pay for what you did!

yeah, so, there's no eloquent way to end this one, so, good night.
