2011 in review - January

Dec 10, 2011 16:47

2011 flew out of the window, didn’t realise it was almost the end of it. I admit, I am not in any hurry, it had been a fantastic year. I shouldn’t be afraid thought, didn’t think 2010 would be topped and 2011 was twice better. Who would have though? Well, my best friend might have. She believes me more than I believe in myself.

In January 2011, Saguenay had a nice weather and the river slowly froze through the course of it. Work had been good too and, I finally started to play curling. Not an easy start, as i fell flat on my butts a couple of time till i got my curling curling shoes, which make an entire difference. Well, unless you forget to take off your gripper ; then you fall flat on your belly.

Team Bernard had a busy January so I was a happy social network updater. First, it was the continental cup, in which Team Bernard collected a ton of points for Team North America. Then, it was the TSN skins game and the girls gave a scare to the old bear winning the 3 first skins. At the end of the match, only a thousand dollars made the difference in the favour of Martin. After all these emotions, the girls headed to the provincials were they had a heartbreaking defeat in semi final. They were hoping to make it to Scotties one last time with the actual members who will soon take different direction.
